A list of 14 more parliamentarians having dual nationality was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday.
According to a private TV channel, the list included names of Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Deputy Chairman Senate, Sabir Baloch, and other lawmakers.
List of the names was submitted to the apex court as part of a new petition filed against 14 parliamentarian suspected for possessing dual nationality.
Malik Waheed Anjum filed the list before a three-member bench when it resumed hearing of the case today.
The court has already ejected Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s testimonials regarding his dual citizenship. Malik had claimed that he had abandoned his British citizenship in April 2008.
The court has terminated National Assembly membership of Farah Naz Isfahhani – the wife of Pakistan’s former ambassador in US, Hussain Haqqani.
