At least two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries in firing incidents in various parts of the provincial metropolis on Saturday. According to police sources, unidentified gunmen killed one man at Ahmed Shah Bukhari road in Kalri area of Lyari while the other was shot dead in Sohrab Goth. A woman was injured in firing in Pahar Ganj area while two other men were wounded at Bin Qasim roundabout and Qasba Colony respectively. Meanwhile Rangers personnel conducted raids overnight, taking at least three suspected target killers into custody from Korangi area of Karachi. According to sources, Rangers raided different areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 4 including Quaid-e-Azam Colony and other adjoining areas after getting information about the presence of criminals in the area. Three suspected target killers identified as Faisal, Faheem and Arshad alias Asad were arrested during raids. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects. Sources revealed that the suspects who belong to a political organisation are involved in high-profile killings in the city. They have been shifted to unknown location for further investigation.
