The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Transport Union (RITU) has threatened to call-in an inter-city strike if the government failed to revise CNG prices with immediate effect.
Announcing the plan, president (RITU) Sultan Awan has regretted the problems already being faced by transporters, while being overloaded with this latest curse of increase in CNG tariff.
He reminded that 99% of transporters rely on CNG and that the last increase was still half way cheaper at Rs.43 per kilo as compared to latest increase to Rs.87 per kilo.
