Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would never allow the democracy to be derailed by some elements.
Ms. Faryal Talpur, MNA and President PPP Women Wing, called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at PM’s House here Sunday.
It was decided in the meeting that during the budget speech of Punjab Finance Minister, PPP will not indulge in any rowdiness, un-parliamentary, un-democratic and un-ethical behaviour like the PML (N) did during the Federal Budget speech.
The Prime Minister reiterated that PPP would not allow derailment of democracy for which the party and its founding fathers had rendered innumerable sacrifices. We will not fall into the trap of undemocratic forces, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister however asked the MPAs of PPP and its coalition partners in Punjab Assembly to fully participate in the budget proceedings in accordance with best parliamentary practices.

  1. Despite all that was done by PML-N during the Budget speech, the response from PPP is very graceful. The problem with people calling themselves Muslim Leaguers is that their mindset is same as Unionist Party toadies of British times. These were the people who were welcomed to join Muslim League at the time of independence. They took control of the party because original leaders did not belong to provinces which formed Pakistan. Since then all self-seeking people, whether from the civilians or army, have called themselves Muslim Leaguers and they are the malignant cancer of our body-politic. It may be interesting to note that whenever military dictators took over power in Pakistan, they gave birth to a new party and used the name Muslim League. After their exit, their Muslim League split into many groups. It may not be incorrect to say that when it comes to political morality, people who call themselves Muslim Leaguers are at the lowest level.

    • Well said & we can rightly blame Nawaz Sharif for being such a pathetic leader that inspite of the opposition being the most corrupt party, it still continues to get away with it thanks to these pathetic dirtbags.

  2. Well said Mr. Shahid Malik. What behaviour can you expect from a bunch of clowns led by that wig wearing chief clown called Ch, Nisar Ali Khan!
