Media, intellectuals urged to play role in foiling conspiracies

The local media and intellectuals should play their role in foiling international conspiracies by spreading awareness among masses about the importance of the geographically-important Pakistan and the conspiracies against it. This was stated by Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistan Dr Farooq Sattar while addressing as a chief guest at the inaugural session of “All Pakistan in-house Presentation Competition” held here on Saturday. The event was organized by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan. The federal minister said Pakistan was situated at a very important geo-political location in this part of the world and every major power had an eye on it. Chief Guest of the concluding session, renowned Journalist Mahmood Shaam appreciated the initiative taken by the ICMAP by organizing Presentation competition. In his welcome address, Abdul Wasey Khan, honorary secretary of ICMAP, said the event was aimed at providing students an opportunity to practically demonstrate their gained knowledge. The participating students gave presentations on Branding by Abdullah Shahmeer, Leadership by Ishrat-ul-Ain Shahid, Flight of Capital from Pakistan by Humam Malik, Product Life Cycle by Seema Kamwani, Microfinance by Wardah Nasir Mirza, Role of Business in Economic Development by Muhammad Abbas Naqvi, Marketing by Ayesha Amar, Impact of Multinational Companies by Bilal Ali Khan, Management by Rida Anis, 99% Vs 1% by Muhammad Ali Topiwala, Pakistan’s Economy and Burning Issues by Aatif Raza, Sales Return by Hasnan Hayder and Unemployment by Talha Bin Afzal.
