At least 17 gamblers were arrested in the area of G-9 here the other day while police also recovered stake money, mobile phones and computers from them.
Margalla police raided two places of gamblers in G-9 Markaz at Mehran plaza and arrested 17 gamblers red handed and recovered Rs 36,000 as stake money, 13 mobiles, a computer and different gambling equipment from them.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousaf Malik and Inspector General of Police Binyamin had ordered all SHOs to launch a crackdown in the area to end all immoral activities.
In the light of his direction, ASP Margalla Sarkal Mustansar Feroze, under the supervision of SHO Muhammad Hussain Lassi, Abdul Sattar Sub Inspector, Mateen Chaudhary ASI, Abbas head constable and others, cordoned off the G-9 area and nabbed 17 gamblers. Separate cases have been registered against them.
