Warraich congratulates federal govt on presenting ‘balanced budget’

Pakistan People’s Party Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Waraich congratulated the federal government on Friday for presenting a balanced and people friendly budget during difficult political circumstances.
He said Pakistan was facing several problems, including the energy crisis due to the rapidly increasing demand for electricity, oil and gas. He stated that the reduction of several duties and taxes in the budget for 2012-2013 will facilitate the masses and that the prices of utilities and items of daily use will come down as a result. He said the government has emphasised on the energy sector and a huge amount has been allocated for several projects related to energy. Warraich added that the increase in the limit of the taxable amount will be good news for the taxpayers. He termed the government employees as silent and positive tax contributors, adding that the increase in their salaries and pensions was highly appreciated. He thanked all the coalition partners of the government for their cooperation in preparing such a balanced budget. He hoped that the budget will be helpful in decreasing the problems of the people.
