Citizens continued their protest on Saturday against the prolonged spans of load shedding in various Punjab cities including Faisalabad, Jhang and Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif continued on the second day Saturday to perform his official duties at Minar-e-Pakistan’s camp office.
The Punjab CM Sharif said the masses did not want democracy; instead, they want electricity, adding further 4000 Megawatts of electricity can be generated in two days if the government is not immersed in immense corruption.
Shahbaz Sharif noted that he will stand by the people wherever they protest against the load shedding.
Meantime, Faisalabad witnessed shutter-down strike on the second day Saturday in the wake of violence a couple of days ago on numerous places in the city over desperation caused by the massive power outages.
In Jhang, the citizens distressed by continual power outages, blocked Gojra Road.
