Federal Law Ministry has forwarded a summary to the Prime Minister for the establishment of 7 special courts in the federal capital.
According to sources, the summary has been sent to set up banking court, anti-narcotics court, anti-terrorism court, Customs court, FIA court, and Labour court in Islamabad.
Sessions of the new courts will be held in Federal Judicial Complex, which is under construction in sector G-11.
The construction of the complex is expected to complete within 2 months according to the project plan.
Former Law Minister, Babar Awan had announced to institute 11 special courts including Consumers’ court, Environmental Tribunal, and Accountability Court, whereas 2 accountability courts have started operating in Islamabad after the approval of the Prime Minister.
These accountability courts will be shifted to Federal Judicial Complex after its construction.
