Saudi national thrashed by Islamabad Airport Security

An exchange of harsh words between Airport Security personnel and a Saudi national, who was stopped for security checkup at Benazir International Airport, turned ugly when the Saudi was severely thrashed for an alleged use of abusive language. The Saudi national, identified as Saeed Al-Shehri, was reported to be an official in the Saudi embassy. According to sources, the Saudi national used objectionable words. Later while talking to reporters, the Saudi appeared to be in bad shape with a deep cut on his face. He said that he was mishandled by the security staff. The Saudi ambassador in Pakistan also arrived at the scene. The security officials believed that the Saudi national was in Pakistan for a military course. The defence secretary summoned the ASF DG and sought a report into the incident within 24 hours.
