Terrror and talks with Pak can’t go together: BJP

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha has criticised India’s recent peace dialogue with Pakistan, saying terrorism and talks can’t go together.
“Pakistan has to abide by the commitment it made to the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in January 2004, that it would stop sponsoring terrorism across India only then there would be talks,” Sinha said.
He was speaking to a small group of Indian Americans at an event organised by Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies, a Washington-based Indian-American think-tank.
Pakistan, Sinha said, has continued to attack India through this undeclared war.
“We are still talking. We tend to forget. 26/11 has been forgotten. We keep on forgetting and we keep getting attacked,” he said.
“Now there is absolutely no doubt about the involvement of the Pakistani government and elements in the Pakistani Administration in terrorist acts against India,” Sinha said.
The BJP’s policy, he said, is to engage Pakistan but only on the condition it would stop state-sponsored terrorism against India.

  1. 'Bhains ke aage been bajaana' is of no use because 'Bhains' can't make a promise, it can only make some gestures for 'chaara' or may try to make some moves to safeguard itself from your 'Laathi'. It is a waste of time asking to fulfil promises because for a 'Bhains' it does not mean anything.

  2. Yea mr. singh = why don't you stop spreading hatred about Pakistanis among Indians, hand over to Pak the self admittted army colonel who was behind the samjhauta express terrorist act burning 60 Pakistanis alive, stop interfering in Balochistan which your PM admitted in Sharm el Sheikh much to your chagrin, stop your terrorising of Kashmiris and give them the right for a referendum according to the 1948 UN resolution, then we will talk peace eh? Cheers.

  3. pakone , that indian colonel is in jail for life. Hafeez saeed is currently having coffee and biscuits with a pakistani colonel while you are reading this comment of mine. Get it. The difference between what happens to a terrorist in pakistan and India.

    • Sir jee our investigation team for the mumbai attacks was in India recently and were not even given access to Kasab to gather first hand evidence. We also have a court system where solid evidence is needed to convict someone like Hafiz Saeed. Just sending over documents is not going to cut it. And if that Indian army colonel is serving life in prison, BUT in India not in Pakistan, why should we hand over Hafiz Saeed without even having fool proof evidence of his involvement in the Mumbai massacre? Let our investigation team talk to Kasab, get his testimony then we can prosecute Saeed and any others involved in that terrorist act. Apples and oranges. Saeed is a bigger pain in the behind for us than to you. But we need evidence to convict him. Simple as that.
