Seven killed over old enmity in Faisalabad


Seven people including four women and a child of same family were killed and five others injured over an old enmity here on Wednesday.
According to police, armed men of a group barged into the house of their rivals located in Green Town, Millat Town police station jurisdiction and started firing at the residents.
As result of firing three persons including two women Ghulam Bibi, Ramzan Bibi and a child Ahmed, 12, were killed on the spot while three others sustained wounds.
The attackers fled the scene after indiscriminate firing that also kept the neighbours away.
The injured were rushed to Allied Hospital Faisalabad where Arshad and another woman succumbed to their wounds raising death toll to five.
In a related incident, armed men attacked the house of relatives of victim family located in Shadman Town injuring two persons who were shifted to Allied Hospital where they also succumbed to their wounds raising the death toll to seven.
According to hospital sources condition of injured people was also serious.
Heavy contingent of police rushed to the scenes after the both incidents and started search for the culprits but they managed to escape.
Police said that the incidents were outcome of personal enmity between two groups.
A case has been registered against the accused at concerned police station and search for the criminals was underway.
