BISE extends registration date for 9th class exam

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi (BISER) has extended the date of registration for 9th class annual examination-2013, from June 4 to July 4.
Talking to APP, Controller of Examinations Professor Humayun Iqbal said that all the government and private schools have been directed to ensure enrollment of all students with the BISE by July 4 as the date would not be extended further. He said the students’ registration process would be completed online, using the software provided by the IT Board of Lahore. APP
Arrangements made for
disposing of hospitals waste: Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Administration has made special arrangements to dispose hospital wastes on daily basis. Talking to APP on Wednesday, an official of PIMS told that every Ward and department of the hospital has been provided color coded bins for segregation for solid waste, infected waste and sharps. Official said the solid waste is collected and disposed through sanitation department of Capital Development Authority. While infected waste as well as sharps, hazardous waste, needles etc. are collected separately, which is then collected from source to main storage place daily. To a question, he said finally this waste is disposed off through an organization, National Production Centre Morgan Rawalpindi where the infectious waste is incinerated.
Class 9 student commits suicide: A student of 9th class on Wednesday shot himself dead here at Sohan after being scolded by his father over not going to school, a police spokesman said.
Khursheed Ali had not been going to school for the last two days. He got annoyed with his family when his father rebuked him over it. Khursheed managed to get a pistol of his father and committed suicide. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
