Commandos raided Umar Gul’s house and arrested his brother Meraj on charges of harbouring his uncle Haji Daly, who belongs to banned Laskar-e-Islam.
Two persons, Younus and Shakeel have been arrested in the raid and moved to undisclosed location.
According to reports, Haji Daly was injured in an army operation in Khyber and was leaving with Meraj after the Khyber incident.
“The injured man was brought to Hayatabad Medical Complex with two local paramedics who changed his bandages,” the official said.
According to news sources, Gul’s relatives commented that it was a misunderstanding and Meraj did not harbour any fugitive.
