National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Tuesday increased the tariff of electricity, second time in a week, by 1.97 rupees per unit.
According to a private TV channel, Nepra approved the revision of the tariff for the month of April in accordance with the monthly fuel price adjustment.
Sources said that after the tariff raise, the additional amount of April’s bill would be collected from the subscribers in November.
The revised tariff notification will be applicable to all the electric supply companies of the country except for the Karachi electric supply corporation (KESC).
Moreover, the subscribers all over the country using less than 100 units would be exempted from this price raise.
