Journalist among six killed across Balochistan

Six people, including a local journalist, were killed in armed attacks and clashes in various areas of Balochistan on Monday, as unknown gunmen attacked the residence of Turbat Press Club president with heavy firing. Police officials said a local journalist, who was also the head master of a government school, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Basima area of Washuk district. Levies sources said the journalist, Abdul Qadir Hajizai, who was working for a private Balochi language TV channel was on his way home when he was gunned down. Other reports said unknown armed men opened fire at the residence of Turbat Press Club President Irshad Akhtar in Turbat. Talking to reporters, Akhtar said a group of armed men attacked his house, however, his family members remained unhurt in the firing.
Meanwhile, three people were killed and one injured in an armed clash between two rival groups of Raisani and Khosa tribes.

  1. Ok Great News .. But what about Ali Sher Kurd, Faiz Muhammad Sasoli, Muhammad Khan Sasoli, Hameed Hayatan Baloch, Rehmatullah Shaheen, Muhammad Ilyas Nazar, Abdost Rind, Zareef Faraz, Siddique Eido, and Munir Shakir have been killed since June 2010

    Ali Sher Kurd, a sub-editor at the Nawa-e-Bolan and a columnist for the daily Ustaman. He was abducted on 21st September 2010 from Quetta and after three days his body was found in Khuzdar. Apparently, he had been tortured before he was shot dead.

    Faiz Muhammad Sasoli,27, the former president of Khuzdar press club and reporter for the Daily Aaj Kal, was murdered on 27 June 2010 in Khuzdar.

    Muhammad Khan Sasoli,36, was killed on December 12,2010, in Khuzdar. He was president of Khuzdar Press club and worked for Royal TV and the INP news agency.

    Hameed Hayatan Baloch, reported for the daily Tawar. He was abducted on October 25, 2010. Three months later, his bullet-riddled and mutilated dead body was found in Gawader.

    Rehmatullah Shaheen, the reporter for the daily Tawar at Mach city, was whisked away on March 5, 2011. Later his mutilated dead body was found at Espelinji.

    Muhammad Ilyas Nazar,26, worked for Balochi-language magazine Dhorant. He was abducted on December 22, 2010 .His tortured dead body was found on January 5, 2011.

    Abdost Rind, a reporter with Urdu-language daily, the Eagle, was shot dead on February 18, 2011.

    Zareef Faraz, was editor of Balochi-language magazine, the Shabjoo. He was found dead after being abducted.

    Siddique Eido, a human rights activist and Baloch journalist disappeared on December 21, 2010. On April 28, 2011 his body was found in Ormara.

    Munir Shakir, a correspondent for the Online News Network and Balochi-language TV channel, the Sabzbath, was gunned down on 14th of August 2011 in Khuzdar city.
