ICT all set to launch anti-polio drive

The district health department of the Islamabad Capital Territory has completed all the necessary arrangements for launching a four-day anti-polio drive in the eight specific union councils from June 4. As many as 44,399 children would be immunised against polio during the campaign for which 113 teams have been constituted while 99 mobile teams would visit from door to door in remote areas.
The health department has set up seven fixed points and as many transit points in these union councils.
Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed reviewed the arrangements for the campaign and directed the officials concerned to ensure 100 per cent coverage during the drive.
The assistant commissioners concerned and the district health officer would be in the field to monitor the progress of the campaign.
