Sindh, Balochistan under extreme heat wave

Mercury has risen to 50C in different parts of Sindh, Balochistan and South Punjab as the extreme heat wave is likely to prevail for next four to five days, the Metrological Department said on Monday. Met forecasted that the temperature is likely to remain between 48C and 50C on Monday in upper Sindh, East Balochistan and South Punjab areas which sizzled under intense heat wave. Dry and hot weather was recorded in the areas during the last 24 hours.
Maximum temperature was recorded 49C in Dadu. Elsewhere, mercury surged to 45C in Nawabshah, Lasbela, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Sibbi, adding to the miseries of residents.
