Indonesian Envoy participates in Thai Airways International Travel Mart-2012

The Consulate General of Indonesia in Karachi participated in the Annual Travel Mart of Thai Airways International, held in Park Towers Shopping Mall, Karachi. Ohter Consulate Generals and travel agencies also participated in the festival including Thai Consulate General, Vietnam Trade Office, Gerry’s Fedex, Fazal-e-Rabbi, Sonya Travel, Best Buy, Home Tour, Polani Travel, Dossani Travel, Prestige Holiday, Indus tours, Map Holidays and Royal Tours. Travel Mart is a regular program organized by Thai Airways and this year Thai Airways introduced cheap air fares with the theme “Thai smile”. The opening of the 2nd Travel Mart Travel Mart was conducted jointly by the Consul General of Thailand in Karachi, Mr. Wichai Siriujin, Indonesian Consul General, Rossalis R. Adenan, General Manager Thai Airways International in Karachi Mr. Polapat Neelabhamorn and representative of the Vietnam Trade Office, Mr. Nguyen Hong Tien, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Chief Guests then proceeded to review the stalls of the participants. The Travel Mart is a good opportunity to interact with approximately 5000 potential Pakistani tourists and also a good opportunity for the travel agencies to further enhance their business relation with their partners in ASEAN countries, including Indonesia. Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi at this year’s Travel Mart displayed brochures and promotional materials about various tourist destinations in Indonesia and Indonesian students performed Indonesian traditional dance.
The participation of Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi at this Travel Mart received positive response from the visitors and was covered by various media. General Manager, Pakistan, Thai Airways International specifically expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Indonesian Consul General in Karachi for participating in the Travel Mart.

  1. I am surprised no comments have been posted. This was a milestone event in the aviation industry in Karachi. Exemplary, in fact, for other carriers to emulate.That has always had a positive presence in Pakistan. In the former East Pakistan it was our international gateway to the East with is 'silky' ways.

    The May Travel Mart enlarged THAI Airways' image from being Thailand's carrier to that of ASEAN's carrier with its promotion of Indonesian products. Would the management take up a Pakistan-Thailand-Asean event?
