Commissioner of Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh has taken strong notice of the demolition of a wall of Anjuman Tarraqi e Urdu’s office in the city by members of a land mafia.
Sources associated with commssioner of Karachi office on Sunday said Roshan Ali Shaikh has ordered immediate re-erection of the boundary wall, surrounding the office premises.
He has also asked the deputy commissiner to take stringent action against encroachers behind the incident. Deputy commissioner of the concerned district and area SHO were asked to present a detailed report about the unfortunate incident to the city commissioner and to also inform what measures were previously taken against land mafia attempting to encroach upon government owned property.
Commissioner of Karachi Roshan Ali said the city administration is already actively engaged in an anti encroachment campaign and its concerted efforts have resulted in retrieval of acres of state owned land as well as private property by land mafia.
