Rihanna, who believes that Cheryl Cole was received so well on the US ‘X Factor’ that people couldn’t really understand the decision to let her go, is tipping the axed judge to be a US hit. The 24-year-old singer believes Cole would make a great ‘American Idol’ judge and wants her to replace Jennifer Lopez. “I can completely see why the producers at American Idol are trying to get Cheryl-she would be amazing,” the Daily Star quoted Rihanna as saying. “She was received so well on the US ‘X Factor’ and most people couldn’t really understand the decision to let her go. Since then she has gone from strength to strength, and is fast becoming a movie star over here. I don’t know if Jennifer Lopez plans to stay another season or not but Cheryl would be a great replacement for her. The only thing Cheryl needs to consider is that it’s so time-consuming,” Rihanna added. Post her risqué ‘American Idol’ finale performance, Rihanna also admitted to falling in love with a mega rock star. Rihanna pulled out a red hot performance of her single ‘Where Have You Been’, on the finale. Was she inquiring about the whereabouts of ‘Idol’ judge Steven Tyler, in her life… until now. It seems that sparks flew between RiRi and the ‘Idol’ judge on or back stage at the show. “I’m in love,” Rihanna, 24, tweeted, after the show, along with a picture of Steven, 64, from her TV screen. Will Rihanna’s new crush on the Aerosmith frontman rocker be a threat to her former lover Chris Brown?
