PAL holds programme on pictorial account of travels

Traveling, especially a world tour, gives travellers freedom of mind and heart. People see remarkable aspects of the nature, which help them widen their vision. These views were expressed by prominent novelist and travelogue writer, Farooq Khalid, in the programe titles ‘Pictorial Account of Travels’ organised by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL). PAL Director Muhammad Asim Butt briefed the participants about the ceremony and talked in detail about the works of Farooq Khalid. He said that photographs are a dimension of Farooq Khalid new to many of his readers while his real recognition is as a novelist, says a press release issued here by PAL. PAL Chairman Abdul Hameed, while seeing the photographs displayed by Farooq Khalid, appreciated a colourful variety of the scene and said Farooq Khalid had a special eye to observe the nature. The participants put questions to Farooq Khalid regarding his travels and experiences as a traveller. After a detailed talk session with the participants, Farooq Khalid screened different photographs through a projector and, with a running commentary, gave a briefing about them.
