Levies checkpost attacked in Balochistan

Unidentified gunmen attacked a Levies check post in the Jhoi area of Balochistan on Saturday, and made away with their weapons after holding them hostage. According to details, unidentified attackers stormed the Levies check post in the Jhoi area near Nadar in Awaran district, held the paramilitary troops hostage, set their vehicle on fire, and fled with their weapons. Senior Deputy Commissioner Ahsan Rind, confirming the incident, said the attackers had taken five Kalashnikov rifles of the security personnel. He said the area had been cordoned off, and hoped that the assailants would be arrested soon. A few days ago, some unidentified armed persons attacked the Levies force, and took their weapons from them. The Balochistan government, taking serious notice of the attack, suspended the deputy commissioner of Turbat and the naib tehsiladar of Balida.
