Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal department on Friday advertised vacant posts from grade 1 to grade 5, against which male, females and especially transvestites could apply.
Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Director General Malik Muhammad Aslam said that government was paying special attention to welfare of transvestites and issuance of ID cards to them and their registration in voters’ list was a major step.
He said that Punjab Social Welfare Department would provide technical education to transvestites so that they could have an honourable role in the society.
