Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the only party that is a symbol of federation and also a source of strength for the federating units.
This was stated by the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who is also the provincial chief of the PPP. He was addressing the executive committee of the PPP Karachi Division at the CM House here on Thursday night.
The meeting was attended by Taj Haider, Agha Siraj Durrani, Waqar Medhi, Qadir Patel, Rafiq Engineer, Haji Muzaffar Shujra, Rashid Rabbani, Asmatullah Khan, Mir Ismial Brohi, Saeed Chawla, Khalil Hooat, Nadeem Bhutto, Umar Jat, Tamoor Sial, Arshad Naqvi, begum Kosar Aamir, Siddiq Akbar and others.
Qaim Ali Shah said that those elements that are conspiring against the federation of Pakistan would get a befitting and crushing reply from the PPP. He said that PPP would never allow anyone to cast and evil eye on the territorial integrity of Pakistan.
The Chief Minister Sindh also took a strict notice of the recent incidents of violence in Karachi. He directed the Police and the Rangers to take an effective action in this regard. Qaim Ali Shah made it clear that no one would be allowed to mar peace in the province and especially in the city of Karachi.
He further directed that the life and property of the people must be ensured. The Chief Minister said that judicial inquiry has been ordered into the incident of firing on “ Sindh Mohabbat Rally” in Karachi.
He also informed that in the past four years the present government has undertaken record development work. Qaim Ali Shah said that we have served the Karachiites without any distinction and would continue to do so.
He urged the party’s office bearers and workers to regularly hold organizational meetings as well as corner meetings at grassroot level to apprise the people of the party’s programme and the public welfare steps undertaken by the government.
The Chief Minister said that the government believes in provision of facilities at the doorsteps of the people and resolve their problems. He also asked the ministers that they should hold open kutcheries at divisional levels so as to help redress the problems of the people.
