KSBL announces MBA admission deadline

The Karachi School for Business and Leadership (KSBL) has announced June 29 as the final deadline for admissions application submission for MBA 2012 intake.
A spokesperson of the institution said here on Friday that the candidates completing 16 years of education in Spring 2012 and appearing for the NTS GAT General test in July are also eligible to apply and are required to submit the test scores by July 30. A final interview with the panel will be conducted for the short listed candidates after evaluation. A complete KSBL MBA application requires an Online Application, minimum 16 years of education (resulting in a Masters or Bachelors degree or equivalent), GMAT / GRE or (NTS) GAT General score, along with two Personal Statement Essays and resume. Minimum of two years professional work experience and Letters of recommendations are preferred but not compulsory, it was further pointed out.
Special children awarded: Special children have created exemplary art works in AFYL greeting cards designing competition 2011 which was recently held in the city to promote creativity among the mentally challenged kids. Twenty art works were selected by the jury headed by a renowned art personality of the country Riffat Alvi, Director V. M. Art Gallery and faculty members Students of IBP and KVTC were also recognised by portraying their pictures and their brief profile at the back of the cards. According to organisers here Friday, designers of the best 20 cards were awarded at the ceremony and certificate of participation were presented to the rest. The students of both the institutions were given a set of criteria, without any restriction of medium, to create works of art which could be used for cards for the Eid and New Year festivities.
In a record time of two weeks the students created and submitted exemplary work of arts – a challenge for the jury to select 20 out of 104 entries submitted. Parents and faculty members attended the ceremony where a well known super realistic painter and calligraphist, Akram Spall was the chief guest on the occasion and presented the awards and certificates.
Speaking on the occasion executive director, AFYL Productions and Services, Liaquat Siddiq said that his organisation has organised this event as a corporate social responsibility initiative and believes in social entrepreneurship.

KU announces date for supplementary examination fee: The University of Karachi on Friday announced that the examination form and fee for Supplementary Examination of the BEd can be submitted till June 9. An announcement of the institution said that the students enrolled in 2005 or earlier must submit an extra fee of Rs 2,500 along with the prescribed fee.
BDS result announced: The Controller of Examinations Undergraduate Studies Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro Friday announced the result of Final Professional BDS Seventh Semester Regular Examinations of the Year 2011.
According to announcement, the candidates having Seat Nos: 01, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 57, 59, 60, 61, 62, 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86 and 87 have been declared pass in the examinations.
The conduct branch of the university has withheld the results of the candidate having Seat Nos: 21, 24, 38, 58 and 79.
