The Youth Council for Anti-Narcotics (YOFCAN) on Wednesday held a seminar at the Punjab Polytechnic Institute where it was revealed that about 8 million people were using drugs in Pakistan and the figure could rise to 13 million in 2015 if proper steps were not taken in this regard. The speakers included Consultant Anti Narcotics Campaign Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, DSP Noulakha Babar Bin Dalawar and Engineer Maqbool Ahmed. They said the government should lay a new frame work for the educational institutions to stop the Sheesha smoking cuture. They also deplored the fact that a large number of Sheesha cafeterias had been opened in Lahore during the last four years.
