A man threw acid on his wife causing severe burn injuries to her in a village some 35 kilometres from Khanpur late on Monday. According to Khan Bela police, Sajjad Ahmed suspected that his wife, Zohra had illicit relations with a man. Late in the night, he threw acid on her which burnt her face and body severely. The victim was rushed to Rural Health Centre by her family. A police team reached the spot and started investigation. However, the culprit managed to flee.
