The office bearers of Punjab Paramedical Alliance continued their protest on the 15th consecutive day to press the government for their service structure and other allowances for paramedical staff of BPS 1-4.
The protesters on Monday staged a protest demonstration outside the Jinnah Hospital and observed three-hour strike at the OPDs of the hospital and raised slogans in support of their demands. After the protest, Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Health Kh. Salman Rafiq met the PPA Chairman Malik Munir Ahmed and other office bearers of the alliance and assured them of solving their problems soon. However, the PPA leaders, after the meeting, said that no breakthrough could be made and the strike would continue until the acceptance of their demands.
They demanded the Punjab government to implement the notification of the service structure and professional healthcare allowance for the paramedics who were also the part of the healthcare providing institutions.
They said that other provinces had announced service structure for the paramedics but in Punjab they were being deprived of it.
