A spokesman for the Punjab Health Department said that lawyers’ community had free treatment facility in government hospitals, which had not been withdrawn.
The spokesman said that rumours in this regard were baseless. Besides free treatment facility to the lawyers in government hospitals, he said the health department had also allocated funds of Rs 10 million to Punjab Bar Council (PBC) for reimbursement of their medical bills. The spokesman further said that no orders had been issued to withdraw free treatment facility from the lawyers.
