Two employees were killed and eight other injured when boiler in an industrial unit exploded in Karachi’ Korangi area. According to rescue officials, the powerful blast damaged a large portion of the factory of oxygen cylinder manufacturing in Korangi industrial area on Monday morning. Two people, who were employees of the factory, were killed and at least eight injured, including a woman, after boiler of the plant exploded due to unknown reasons, police said. Police and rescue teams arrived at the site and shifted the injured to different hospitals, fearing that few more workers are trapped under the debris, and the death toll may rise. Police evacuated workers from the factory, saying that it has become dangerous since cracks in walls as a result of the powerful blast. The blast was so powerful that the roof of the building was swept away by it, police added.
