People of Lyari took out a rally from the locality on Tuesday, prompting law-enforcers to seal the Red Zone of the metropolis, causing severe traffic jam.
Intending to march towards the Chief Minister House and the Governor House in the Red Zone, sources said, hundreds of people were amassed at Lyari Cheel Chowk, carrying play cards and banners.
The rally was being taken out in protest against the demand of creation of a new province in Sindh and police operation in Lyari, which left at least 45 people dead.
Officials said the rally might enter the Red Zone; therefore, various roads were sealed by placing containers and deploying police commandoes at various roads leading to chief minister and governor houses.

However, the containers’ placement caused severe traffic jam at II Chundrigar Road, Pakistan Chowk and Arts Counsel.
