The family and relatives of a woman who allegedly died of spurious injection of a private hospital held protest demonstrations on Sunday and blocked the Ring Road that resulted in a traffic jam.
According to details, Rasheeda Bibi, 55, hailing from Noor Road area of Badami Bagh, Lahore felt pain in chest and was brought to a private clinic in the area.
In the absence of the doctor, the paramedics present in the clinic injected the woman after which her condition worsened. She was rushed to emergency of a government hospital but passed away before getting treatment.
After death of the woman, the family and relatives of the deceased gathered at Ring Road and held protest demonstration. They blocked the road by burning tyres and placing hurdles. The protestors demanded of the authorities to take stern action against the paramedics who injected the fake medicines resulting in death of the lady.
