Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Sunday ordered removal of graffiti by Mohajir Suba Tehreek (Mohajir province movement) on city’s walls to avoid Sindh division, media reported on Sunday.
Removing the wall-chalking, as well as billboards and banners placed by the group, police came into action overnight night, purging walls of the graffiti around Sindh Assembly and at different areas.
Earlier, speaker Sindh Assembly, Nisar Khohro, termed the demand of a new province as a ‘conspiracy’ like that of ‘Sindhu Desh’.
Addressing a news conference at Hyderabad Circuit House, Khohr said “new slogans are being raised after the demands of Jinnah Poor and South Sindh provinces. People will refuse the demand of Mohajir province as they have refused Sindhu Desh in the past.”
