LGH to go tech savvy

The administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has decided to get rid of all the papers by computerising all the departments of the hospital. Under this project, to be completed at a cost of Rs 5 crore, all the staff of LGH, including doctors, nurses and paramedics would be imparted computer training.
Prof Dr Tariq Salah ud Din, principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and LGH, said while presiding over a meeting of administrative doctors including MS LGH Dr. Muhammad Hassan.
Salah ud Din said with the completion of computerisation process at LGH, not only the health facilities provision system would be established on modern basis but the administrative problems would also be controlled. Moreover, doctors, nurses and paramedics would be able to serve ailing humanity more efficiently.
Tariq said computerisation of the hospital would be very helpful for research and hospital staff would keep themselves with the latest advancements in the medical field. He said all the stages of patient’s treatment would be computerised and reports of all the tests like CT scan, MRI and blood test reports would be available to all the concerned persons through online system. He further said with the computerisation the hospital standard and quality would be considered at par with international standards and it would be a revolution in the history of LGH.
