The performers of National Performing Arts Group (NPAG) mesmerised the visiting Turkish delegation here late Sunday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). Attired in traditional costumes and holding related props, the performers presented regional dances to capture the essence of performing arts being practiced in different areas of the country. They introduced the audience with rich cultural heritage of Pakistan with folk tunes through instrumental music on Flute and Tabla and melodic brilliance that speak about the traditions of thispiece of land.
The show brought Sufi spiritual performances featuring the spiritual side of Pakistani culture through soul soothing music while the display of culture of different provinces of the countrywas designed to promote soft image of the country. The delegation comprising officials from Ministry of Cultureand Tourism of Turkey also visited various galleries of Nationalart gallery to enjoy the glimpses of Pakistani visual arts through permanent exhibits.
