Asim Qureshi, national champion (Wapda) reached in Finals of men’s singles event on day three of the Chromatex Masters Table Tennis League being played at the Chromatex Hall
He beat Omer Zaka (Army) in a neck and neck seven set semi-final match by 4-3 with the score being 8-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-5, 7-11 , 3-11, 11-9.
Young Salman Virk (PWD) beated ex national champion Bilal Yasin (Wapda) by 4-2 in second semi final. Set Score 11-9, 13-11, 4-11, 11-9, 4-11, 11-4. Salman Virk also selected in junior Pakistan team going participate in Junior SAF TT Championship in India next month.
Women’s semifinals, Mehmooda Haider (Wapda) bt Sadia Falaksher (Wapda) in tough seven set match by 4-3. Set score 11-6, 11-13, 10-12, 11-9, 12-10, 5-11, 11-9. Ayesha Iqbal (Wapda) bt Sidra Sattar (Wapda) by an easy attempt 4-0, set score 11-5, 11-5, 11-8, 11-7.
Men’s Quaterfinals, Omer Zaka (Army bt Mehboob Elahi (Chromatex) by 4-1.
