Policemen deployed at Picket, situated between Shamsabad and Sixth in Rawalpindi road are not only fleecing people but also misbehaving with road users during night time. The picket was set up to curb crime but the Policemen deployed there have made the Picket a source of income. It is seen that most Policemen deployed at the Picket have no name badges on their uniforms and those wearing belts with their assigned numbers pull their shirts out of their trousers to hide their identity.
A police constable, Adeel Satti, and his colleagues deputed at a Picket stopped a couple, riding a motorcycle and demanded nikahnama from them and on question they started using abusive language. The couple was allowed by a constable Adeel Satti and his colleagues to go to go after taking Rs 500 from them. A police constable in plain clothes, when asked about extortion, he openly said they make Rs 500 daily at night time. People have complained about the attitude of policemen to SHO Sadiqbad many times but to no avail.
