Difa-e-Pakistan Council Chairman and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam President Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has said the Parliament has no prerogative to restore NATO supply lines and that the restoration of the supplies will not be tolerated.
He termed the possible reinstatement of the NATO supply lines as a violation of the constitution and said only the 180 million Pakistanis had the right to decide the issue. He expressed his views when he reached Lahore to participate in the presidential session of the Difa-e-Pakistan Council due to be held in Mansoora today (Saturday). He said the council would decide about its future course of action in its Saturday session.
He said the US would soon be dismembered and claimed that both the government and the opposition could not afford to displease the US.
He said the re-opening of NATO supply was an act of disloyalty to the 24 martyrs of the Salala incident that occurred on November 26 last year.
