Nawaz ensures security to foreign investors

Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Oe and UK Deputy High Commissioner separately called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Friday and discussed with him key issues and bilateral relations.
According to details, while meeting with the Japanese ambassador, Nawaz Sharif discussed issues, including bilateral relations, cooperation in various sectors and the regional situation with respect to security and the economic situation.
The PML-N leader lauded Japan for its cooperation with Pakistan in various sectors, especially for its assistance in acquiring modern technology.
He said Pakistan and Japan enjoy strong ties of mutual cooperation, trust and both the countries have always supported each other in critical times. “We hope that bilateral relations will be strengthened further in the days to come,” Nawaz added.
British Deputy High Commissioner Ellen Blake also called on Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Shahbaz Sharif briefed the UK diplomat about the ongoing development projects in the province, particularly the attention being given by his government to the promotion of education.
He said Punjab has vast opportunities for investment and UK investors would be welcome to set up their businesses here.
He said foreign investors will be provided security.
The two sides vowed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and increase mutual cooperation in various sectors.
