Pakistan’s former Ambassador to the United States, Husain Haqqani on Friday said that suspension of Nato supply has not made any difference to the US.

Haqqani maintained that America should apologize for Salala check post tragedy.
He rejected the option of facing the memo commission saying that his life was at risk in Pakistan. “Look, I am, as a Pakistani, very concerned about the direction of my own country. I am among those who feel that there are elements in Pakistani society who don’t allow us to have an honest and realistic debate about foreign policy.” “We just want to blame our neighbors, our enemies,” said Haqqani, “we don’t want to take account of what’s wrong at home.” Answering another question he said that Pakistan had serious reservations concerning Afghanistan’s future and the US’ lack of confidence in Pakistan was uncalled for. Haqqani added that in order to solve the problems faced, the US would have to understand the sentiments of the people of Pakistan and both the countries would have to resolve their conflicting issues. Highlighting the situation of Iran and North Korea, Haqqani stressed that Islamabad should judiciously decide its future.
