A delegation of PMA Central, headed by its Secretary General, Dr. Mirza Ali Azhar met the Speaker, Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Thursday and discussed with him the “Health Bill” pending before the assembly for quite some time. According to a PMA official the PMA office bearers, from its central, provincial and Karachi branches requested the speaker to play his role in raising the issue before the legislators as this was related to an extremely important aspect of public health. The PMA delegation also included Dr. Qaiser Sajjad, Dr. Said Memon, Dr. Qazi Wasiq and others. They also raised the issue of kidnapping of doctors in the province and its consequent implication on the health sector in general. Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro assured them that all these relevant issues would be duly addressed.
