Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Wednesday opposed the proposed resumption of Nato supply routes.
In his messages posted on social networking website ‘Twitter’ on Wednesday, Khan condemned what he said government “NRO” with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
“PTI opposes reopening of Nato supply route and will plan appropriate action,” Khan wrote. He said “we dismiss all government measures which prove fatal for innocent people and stabilize war against terror”
He said that Pakistani people had been paying the cost with their blood for the war which didn’t belong to them.
Khan said “PTI holds government, which is shamelessly busy in offering assistance in the war, responsible for the killing of people”.
“War on terror has caused losses of over 73 billion dollars to economy, polarised social fabric of Pakistan and killed over 40,000 Pakistanis,” Imran Khan said.

    • Imran Khan should moderate his opposition to opening of NATO supply route. The operation in Afganistan is UN mandated and over 60 countries are supporting the NATO mission. It is not US mission only. So IMRAN KHAN will loose world sympathy if it goes to oppose the decision of opening the supply route. Sher ka bacha should fight terrorists of all colours, which regretfully IMRAN is shy of doing.

      • if 60 countries are involved in a terrorist war, that does not mean that we should support them, Plus UN is a undemocratic club where the victors of the world war still hold veto. Where is Un when Palestinians are killed with white phosphorus, where is UN when Mulisms are burried in mass graves in kashmir, The same UN supported sanctions against Iraq for 12 long years for possesing some imaginary WMDs, the same UN gave support for the Illegal Iraq war. UN has no moral standing to be a neutral actor.

  1. PTI's views on NATO supply are inflexible which does not bode well for our country. however, i agree that we should be compensated for our collaboration. This is called diplomacy and taking care of our interests.
Nations that do not care of their finances and affairs do not have much leeway. There is thin line between honour and demagoguery. I would request politicians of all hues to refrain from worry about scoring political mileage from every issue and to pay attention to the real issues of the masses e.g. Good governance, Corrpution, unemployment, law and order, energy. etc.etc.

    • What compensation you want for assisting in the murder of one of the poorest people in the world , by the mightiest of the war alliance history has ever seen. By compensation you mean more Dollars? if you dont want to help the Afghans and save your own ass thats Cowardice and thats understandable, not every body is brave. But you want to take money to help in the destruction of one of the poorest nations , thats just plain greed,
