Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Nisar Ali Khan has regretted the boastful attitude and ridiculing of Supreme Court verdicts by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
During his talks with a private TV channel, Nisar said, “Restraint in bellowing like actors of Punjabi movies such as Maula Jat, and refraining from foreign visits at a crucial time would have eased any pressure/barrage of criticism over Gilani,” adding that he (Nisar) had already discerned that after the verdict of the Supreme Court, the government would rather stretch the issue.
He also regretted that the PML-N had been kept in the dark regarding resumptions of NATO supplies, and was chagrined that rulers were wreaking havoc with parliamentary resolutions. “The Americans have bought us Pakistanis quite cheaply, but it is worse that our rulers have accepted the issue without any second thoughts, with the army right in tow,” he said. He also berated the government’s warnings, cautioning of dire consequences if Pakistan failed to resume NATO supplies. “The PML-N was also threatened during Pakistan’s nuclear explosions, but Pakistan went ahead with nuclear tests and nothing happened,” he said.
To a question, Nisar denied daring the prime minister from entering the assemblies. “However in my opinion, while violation of law is a matter of dishonor for the common man, the PM (still) publicly touted his loyalty (to his master) rather than the Supreme Court verdicts. That means he would not be loyal to the constitution,” Nisar said. He also denied that PML-N’s Abid Sher Ali had hit the speaker with agenda copies, clarifying that the copies were rather being torn apart as mark of protest. “Tearing agendas in assemblies is certainly not a pleasant experience, and I have often warned my party about the issue” he clarified
“But than, the PM is responsible for all these rowdy act(s),” he said. To a question, Nisar said he had received a letter from the National Assembly speaker, sent by her secretary. “I respect the speaker, and wish that she would/should remain impartial in the whole episode,” he said, adding that her impartiality would earn her a niche in national history. He also scoffed at dalliance of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who never tired of claiming to be “quite competitive to bring about a change in Pakistan’s politics”. He was also irritated by the fact that while the entire nation criticised President Asif Zardari, Khan’s energies were devoted solely against the Punjab government and the PML-N.

We have not noticed any such behaviour of the PM. Rather Ch. Nisar’s hot favourite judges have been been behaving and threatning like Maula Jutt.
By the way, rumours are around that Ch. Nisar is preparing to move a motion in National Assembly, calling for a ban on Rowan Atkinson’s TV comic series, MR. BEANS.
