Nawaz says he will never allow Sindh’s bifurcation

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has said he has no objection over any bifurcation of Punjab but he would never allow the same for Sindh. Addressing a public rally in Shikarpur, he said he would never speak of any possible bifurcation of Sindh, even if Asif President Zardari talked about it a 100 times. He said the reinstatement of Bahawalpur’s provincial status was a right of the citizens of Bahawalpur, and complained that he was seen with suspicion, mistrust and accused of having ulterior motives over his endeavors to struggle for provincial status of Bahawalpur.
He berated the rulers for having failed to deliver for the country, while “President Zardari did nothing even for his ancestral Province of Sindh in 4 years’ time,” he accused. Calling Benazir Bhutto his sister, Nawaz said he was the first to reach the hospital upon her death, while those accompanying her had deserted her, even in her death. “These very deserters are ministers, advisers and all the key-post holders today,” he said.
