The Metrological Department has predicted light rain at scattered places of upper areas of the country. However, mainly dry and hot weather will remain in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. A fresh westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts of the country and is likely to persist for next two to three days. Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Upper KPK (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar and Kohat divisions), Kashmir/G-Baltistan.
The Met office said that rain with dust thunderstorm occurred at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while weather remained hot and dry in other parts of the country.
Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours is Dir 13 mm, Kalam 10mm, Astore and Kakul 05mm, Rawalakot and Parachinar 04mm, Mallam Jabba and Balakot 03mm. Highest temperature was recorded as 46 CC at Moenjodaro and Larkana during last 24 hours.
Pollen count recorded was 142 per cubic meter.
