Humaima Malik has already proved herself as one the youngest best actress of Pakistan who has beaten famous bigwigs of Bollywood such as Shilpa Shetty, Frieda Pinto and Shabana Azmi at the London Asian film festival award. She has continued to maintain her decorum as young talented actress by winning the Best Actress Award at the 11th Lux Award 2011 after a unanimous vote in her favour. No other actress can compete with the standards that she has set through her amazing acting skills in Shoaib Mansoor’s ‘Bol’. She has made her point very clear that talent could receive international recognition. She is not only an actress with a pretty face, but has also won hearts through her mind-blowing acting. Bold yet talented, charming and beautiful, Humaima has made Pakistan proud again at national as well as at international level. The nominations for the 11th LUX Style Awards were announced earlier in Karachi this week, when Pakistan’s most credible and coveted awards released nominations in 26 categories in the genres of film, music, television and fashion. Malik’s award was announced after the LSA Film jury voted for ‘Bol’ across all three categories. Shoaib Mansoor’s ‘Bol’ was the sole film that made the grade and qualified as a bonafide entrant for an award that is given out for excellence in cinema. Excellence and experimentation in music was also awarded. Television won the most nominations, remaining one of the most popular genres. Public voting options for TV and music categories will be opened later this month while the fashion jury will vote for the contenders for the fashion awards.
