Punjab Assembly unification bloc leader Atta Muhammad Manika has said he will standby Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Sources said Manika called on Shahbaz Sharif and complained over the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz move to sign a deal with Pakistan Muslim League-Like Minded.
He told the chief minister that his group had supported the PML-N through thick and thin but the Nawaz-League did not take his group into confidence regarding the deal with Like Minded.
He ensured Shahbaz that he would remain loyal to the PML-N.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had telephoned Manika after PML-Like Minded inked a deal with PML-N in connection with next general election.
It is pertinent to mention here that PML-N rely on Manika’s group to uphold its majority in the Punjab Assembly.
