The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) on Tuesday conducted written test of over 6000 applicants to recruit emergency staff for 605 posts from Lahore, Attock, Jehlum, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Chakwal, Mandi Baha-ud-din, Murree, Ahmad Pur East, Chichawatni, Gujjar Khan, Jaranwala, Kabeerwala, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Kharian, Mian Channu, Mureed Kay, Pattoki and Sadiqabad. The written and psychological assessment (Personality & Aptitude) tests were conducted at the Emergency Services Academy, Lahore.
The posts advertised mainly included emergency officers, rescue safety officers, control room incharge, shift incharge, computer telephone wireless operator, emergency medical technicians and Dert rescuer. Interviews of the short listed candidates would be conducted by the Recruitment Board, comprising of members from five different government departments in order to ensure selection on merit.
Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer said that the main reason behind their success was the transparent recruitment system which ensured the final selection of the best possible emergency staff.
