Pakistan’s athlete Zeenat Parveen won a bronze medal in the Asian Athletics Grand Prix series.
A four Pakistan athletics team will take part in the Asian Grand Prix Series 2012 to be held at the Chonburi Campus Stadium in Thailand from May 6 to 14. The other athletes includes Liaqat Ali (100m Army), Farhan Ahmed (100m WAPDA), Ms. Rabia Ashiq (800m WAPDA) and Zeenat Paveen (Shot Put WAPDA)
Zeenat won two bronze medals in the event of shot put with 13.93m and 13.69m, while the other athletes gave their personal best performance.
Maj Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, HI(M), SI(M), President Athletics Federation of Pakistan congratulated all the athletes and coach especially Zeenat for her outstanding performance.
